§ 14-81. Dramshops and sales of intoxicating liquor prohibited.

The provisions of this article shall not be construed to authorize any person to conduct or operate a dramshop, tippling house or tavern, nor to sell intoxicating liquor, beer, malt liquor or nonintoxicating beer, and the same shall only be lawful or authorized if sold, commenced or operated in conformity with applicable laws of the state and ordinances of the city relating to such establishments and such sales.
