§ 15-301. Marking required; minimum area for spaces.

  • Every parking lot shall have marked, individual spaces for each motor vehicle to be parked, and the location of each parking space shall be indicated by parallel lines painted upon or placed in the pavement by markers at an angle with the alignment of a traffic lane. Each parking lot marked, remarked, painted or repainted after January 8, 1973, shall have individual parking spaces 20 feet in length by ten feet in width for each motor vehicle to be parked, which spaces shall be connected to a street or alley by a driveway the width of which shall be governed by the parking table set out in the definition of "parking space" in section 1-2.
