§ 17-62. Smoking of tobacco and other substances in all recreation facilities in the city with exception of park and golf course grounds, prohibited; penalty.

(a)

With the exception of posted designated areas, if provided, no person shall smoke tobacco or any other substance of any form or by any method, nor shall any person hold or carry any lighted cigarette, cigar or pipe in any of the recreation facilities in the city, with the exception of park and golf course grounds, or in any area of the city hall.

(b)

The city engineer is directed to erect "no smoking" signs in areas where smoking is prohibited.

(c)

Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of this section shall be subject to the penalties provided for violating this Code, provided that the fine for the first such offense shall be $25.00.
