§ 20-26. Composition.

Latest version.

The police department of the city shall be comprised of the following persons:
(1)

A chief of police; and

(2)

Commissioned employees and clerical employees as may be appointed from time to time by the chief of police with the consent and approval of the city administrator, but only in such number as may be authorized from time to time by the board of aldermen.
