§ 2-172. Duties.

  • It shall be the duty of the city clerk to:

    (1)

    Keep a journal of the proceedings of the board of aldermen.

    (2)

    Safely and properly keep all the records and papers belonging to the city entrusted to his care.

    (3)

    Perform such other duties and responsibilities as are provided for by law and ordinance.

    (4)

    Perform such other duties as may be directed by the mayor or the board of aldermen.
