§ 7-81. When permits required.

  • No person shall construct, erect or alter any building or structure in the city, except fences and signs otherwise provided for, when the cost of such construction, erection or alteration exceeds $100.00 or where the effect of such construction, erection or alteration is to enlarge the capacity or affect the bearing walls of any building or the roof thereof, without first having secured a permit therefor and paid the required fee.
