§ 16-30. Office of designated judge deemed vacant.

Except for nonresidence in the city, those occurrences which are deemed to cause a vacancy in the office of an elected municipal judge, as set forth in section 16-26, shall also be deemed to cause a vacancy in the office of a judge designated under the provisions of section 16-27; and the person who is deemed to have vacated such office shall not thereafter be permitted to serve as municipal judge, nor shall any compensation be paid to such person for serving as municipal judge.
